About the Position
The Aged Care Nurse will provide person-centred nursing care to older adults while promoting dignity, independence, safety and quality of life. The role includes clinical assessment, medication management, chronic condition monitoring, wound care and coordination with families and multidisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete health and clinical assessments of residents or clients.
• Develop and review individual care plans.
• Administer medication safely and maintain medication records.
• Monitor chronic health conditions and changes in clinical status.
• Provide wound care and other appropriate nursing interventions.
• Support falls prevention, infection control and resident safety.
• Communicate with families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals.
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation.
• Promote dignity, independence and person-centred care.
Essential Requirements
• Recognised nursing qualification.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration.
• Experience in aged care, community nursing or a relevant clinical environment is preferred.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with older adults and multidisciplinary teams.
Country-specific requirements:
Applicants must satisfy the relevant UK professional registration, qualification recognition, visa and employment requirements.
Experience & Language
- 2+ years experience in aged care or community nursing
- Strong English communication skills are required. For regulated healthcare professions, applicants may need to demonstrate English proficiency through an accepted route such as IELTS or OET, subject to the relevant professional regulator.
