About the Position
The Healthcare Assistant will support nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient and compassionate patient care. The position involves assisting with patient activities, maintaining clinical environments and supporting routine care under appropriate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist patients with personal care and daily activities.
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers.
• Assist nursing staff with routine patient-care activities.
• Record observations as authorised and report concerns promptly.
• Prepare clinical areas and equipment.
• Follow infection prevention and hygiene procedures.
• Support patient comfort and dignity.
• Maintain accurate care and support documentation.
Essential Requirements
• Healthcare assistant, nursing assistant or relevant care qualification where applicable.
• Previous healthcare or patient-support experience preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality and patient dignity.
• Ability to work under the direction of registered healthcare professionals.
Country-specific requirements:
Applicants must satisfy the applicable Swedish professional recognition and licensing requirements.
Experience & Language
- 1+ year healthcare or support experience preferred
- Swedish language proficiency is generally important for patient-facing healthcare positions. English may be useful in international environments, but local-language requirements can apply to regulated roles.
